Template Parts - how do they work, how can I get more information, etc?

We are investigating using template parts for the InfoPath forms in an application we've developed in an effort to improve consistency, productivity, etc.  However, I haven't been able to find much in the way of how to use template parts. I can easily create a part, but that's where it stops. We will eventually be using SharePoint for InfoPath.

Can anyone direct me to a source of detailed information about InfoPath template parts - how they work, how to use them, what NOT to do, tips & tricks, etc?

I found these pages http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/infopath/HA101507461033.aspx and http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2007/03/14/template-parts-101.aspx but want to know if there are others that I should also consider.

I've also heard that template parts allow more than one person to update/revise an InfoPath form that has been previously added to a published InfoPath application, but I haven't figured out how this works either.

    Thanks,

    Jim

We have several blogs on our XTPs. Here's a generic search link that should give you some info on XTPs from our site: http://www.google.com/cse?cx=003654972516704994317%3A4j0mji2l1rq&ie=UTF-8&q=XTP

XTPs can be reused in InfoPath forms. You can reuse by adding a custom control and searching for the XTP file. They support view layout, data source, rules/validation and data connections, but not code.

Hope that helps a little! :)
