 Hi,

I have uploaded a form to a document library. This form has 2 views. In first view when the user saves the form I'm saving it using submit data connection with "dateTime.now() ".But when another users logs in and edits the form in his view and clicks a button the form should save automatically to the existing name but not with a new name. Is this possible?

The function you are using as a form name will always create a unique (new) value. InfoPath will overwrite, but only if the form name already exists. You'll need to modify your submit in order to use the same form name in future edits.

Use that function to set the value of a field only when the form is first created. Then use that field as your form name.

I was trying to do the same but that name field of the document library is not visible when I'm trying to make a data connection from that library. Rest of the fields are available. Is there any reason for that?

 I'm able to get title of the form and I tried to see what that field has by adding it as a default value to a text field. Unfortunately the "Title" field do not show the current name of the form.It shows the name of some other form.

Sorry, I don't understand what you tried and what the problem was. The situation is fairly simple.

1. Add a text field and call it FormTitle.

2. Create a rule that sets the value of this field to now() when the form first opens.

3. Use the FormTitle field as the form name that is used in the data connection that submits to SharePoint.

Can you try this, and if you run into problems, attach a screenshot for easier troubleshooting? Thanks.
