infoPath 2007 is evil: it's eating my signature fields ...

Hello ...... if I were not already insane prior to beginning a relationship with InfoPath 2007, I am well on my way to the padded white cell now.

    Let me explain.

My first InfoPath form was complex ... 2000 lines of c# code behind it.  It has two ink picture fields for signatures.  That seems standard to me.

Signing is not a problem.  Both signature fields hold their values.

With the confidence of a serious form behind me, I next created a very, very, very basic form.  No c# code behind it.  Just a few fields plus two ink pictures.

            signatureA                                         signatureB

Both are size 110 x 315 .... when I preview the form and sign signatureB, it vanishes! !!!!!

I have deleted it and put a new ink picture control ... it too vanishes!!!

Added a third.  Second and third both vanish.

    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry InfoPath is making you crazy. Can you attach your xsn to your reply so we can look at it? Under the Options tab, you can attach a file.

    Hello Hillary,

it could be a Vista problem, I'm running Vista Business on a lenovo X61 tablet ... amazingly, if I rotate the form to "portrait" view, the signatures stick ~~ this behaviour is far to wonky for me.

the good news is that the forms will be used in production in "portrait" view.

I appreciate your offer Hillary.  May I take a rain check for now.

    Thank you.
