Alternatives for OpenFileDialog() for web enabled form?

    Hello,

I need to provide the user with a way to select a file from his local machine to load some data in the form (it has to be a csv file which I later read and format by code). It's not possible to use OpenFileDialog() in a web form and I can not find (or think of) an alternative anywhere.

I use C# in Visual Studio 2008 with Infopath 2007

     Any ideas?

     Thanks a lot,

    Daniel Rivas.

Re: Alternatives for OpenFileDialog() for web enabled form?

    Hello all,

I still don't have a solution for this. I am trying to use the "File attachment" control and I would like to access the path for the file when the user picks it, but it seems that I can only get the content of the file (coded in Base64). Does anyone know if I can get the full path of the attached file from code?

    Cheers,

    Daniel Rivas.
