    File Attachment/Picture Control

Hi, Can IP handle a multi-page image via the picture control? Tif would be ideal, but IP doesn't allow Tifs to be added via the picture control. If this is not possible, can someone tell me how to go about adding a general file type (PDF) to a form via the file attachment control and have the file location (UNC path) be inserted into a text field via a rule? I have tried this, but for some reason IP doesn't like the rule and creates an error instead. The goal is to be able to store the location of a multi-page image or file type into a sql table via either the pic control or file attach control in IP. Thanks.

Our free qRules 1.6 provides this support. You inject the plugin into your form (InfoPath 2007 only) and then you can call a command to convert a file attachment into a link. This takes the file attachment and saves it to SharePoint and replaces it with a new link. If your file already lives on some Web Server like SharePoint, the other option would be to just use a link control so the user adds the link without having the PDF actually attached.
