Browser form not executing managed code

    Hi,

I have made an infopath form with managed code, full browser compatible, I
installed this with full trust(also signed the code) on the MOSS.
When I fill in the form with IP client, all works great, but when I fill in
with browser, the code is not executed.
    What is going wrong?

    kind regards

Hi Vantuykom and welcome to our forum!
You have to admin approve any form with managed code. Did you do that?

Re: Browser form not executing managed code

Hello Vantuykom, what are the symptoms that you are encountering when trying to fill out the form? Could you type up the complete steps of how you published your form?

Before deploying a complex form, I would recommend a "hello world" approach: have a form that does nothing but set a value of a field in its OnLoad and see if that works.

    Things to look out for:
    - Make sure the form is marked as browser-compatible
    - Always publish the form from InfoPath (as admin-deployed form) locally before uploading it
    - You might encounter security issues running your code that only become obvious when you have uploaded the form to IPFS. That is why it#%92s a good idea to start with the "hello world"
    - It is a good idea to check logs: The Windows Event Log on the SharePoint machine as well as the SharePoint server log (in a location such as C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS) – the later has a great amount of detail. The area you#%92ll be looking for in the logs is "Forms Server"

Re: Browser form not executing managed code

    Hello,

As I said, everything is working, all my code works, as well in the client as in the browser. I get some fields filled in with user infomation. But when I sign the code in the form, and set the form library to allways use a browser, the fields are not filled in. When I not sign my code, I can still upload and activate it via admin, but when I want to open it in the client, it gives me an error.
So I think I'll have to choose if I want to use the client or the browser, but I cannot use both?

I see... well, it is supposed to work, as a matter of fact, I don't know of any other straight way of getting the form to work in both other than making it full trust, signing and admin-deploying it (you have to do all of it, of course).
Maybe the forms server has a problem with the signing certificate? Do check the server logs and see if there is anything suspicious there.

I didn't check the logs yet, are there seperate logs for forms server?

Forms Server uses the SharePoint log files (typically located under %CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\LOGS) with Area="Forms Server"
