Hi,

My requirement is like , I have 2 radio button say "Please click to display textbox" and "Please click to attach".

 When I click either button, Either of the things should happen. For this I use separate section, to display a textbox when clicked 1st button, and to display an attachment when clicked another. Till here it works fine.

Now I wanted to make the attachment as mandatory field when we click the second option ie."Please click to attach".So I made the attachment field as "Cannot be blank".

When I submit the form it needed to get submitted to an email using custom code.

Now the problem is, even if i dont select the second option of radio button it asks me to attach.

Could anybody give an alternative suggestion for this. Its quite urgent requirement.

Well yeah...obviously, if you use "Cannot be blank," then it cannot EVER be blank.  That setting is not conditionally-based.  You need to turn that off and instead add data validation to that field that says "If RadioButton = AttachOption and AttachmentField is Empty (or blank maybe), display error."  This will make your attachment field required only when that radio button is chosen.
