warrtalon:Humor me by viewing my blog entry on this topic: Auto-Numbering InfoPath Forms. See if there is anything other than what you are doing that may bring things to light. If not, feel free to attach your XSN so that we can peruse the logic.
That is some good information there. I'll definitely take a more in-depth look at it tomorrow at work
warrtalon:that makes sense now that you explain what was happening, but what is the overall situation? I thought the problem was that your view was not showing all data, and that the form was relying on a function that requires seeing all data. Are you still only seeing 12 items in the form?
The overall situation is that previously, the form was trying to find increment a new number based on the maximum current form. The specific implementation here is that the form goes into a pending folder until it has been processed and then it gets marked as completed. The default view previously only showed pending forms. The issue today was that apparently the most recent form had been processed before another and so when a new one was created, it overwrote what was the most recent form which had been completed. Fortunately, with versioning I was able to recover all data and no problems resulted, other than discovering this issue.
Thanks again for all of the help.
