Hi,

I have 181000 document for a particular document type. I need to delete all of them. Can I just delete it out of the Documents table in the database for the particular document type or will I break something?

The DAT in InfoPath breaks when I try and delete all and doing it 1 page at a time is taking too long.

Please follow the below steps from the machine where you installed DBXl.

1.       Open “DbxlDocumentService.asmx” page from your dbxl webservice.

2.       Click on “RemoveAllDocumentsForType” link.

3.       In the “RemoveAllDocumentsForType” page enter docTypeName and click on “Invoke” button.

RemoveAllDocumentsForType will probably get a timeout error for that large a number unless you update the web.config to increase the httpRuntime executionTimeout.  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/e1f13641.aspx

The timeout value necessary will depend on the speed of your server. 

The Document Deployer does each delete as a separate operation, so the timeout shouldn't be a factor.
