Follow-up question to Error occured Accessing Data Source Error ID 5566

Hello, I'm following up to a previous thread in which Error ID 5566 was discussed.

To recap, this error is thrown by InfoPath browser-enabled forms after the SharePoint server farm is upgraded to .NET 3.5 framework SP1.  Prior to that, the forms worked fine.  zeroecho provided a procedure to fix this problem.  It involves adding a registry key to all the farm servers.  Please follow this link to read the procedure:  http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/7676/38688.aspx.

**However, once I had added this registry key in my development farm and got my form to work (without error 5566), the fix seems to be permanent -- i.e., I subsequently removed the registry key, rebooted the farm servers, and my form continued to work.

Can anyone share his/her experience after applying the fix?  The reason I want to back out the fix is to demo that the fix works in test before implementing production.

    Thanks in advance.
