When I publish a form that is browser enabled, it is resetting all my columns meaning it is deleting them from views and resetting my calculated columns. What is causing this?

It should not do that unless you have your properties mapped strangely.  Are you using sharepoint-based columns that you're mapping to one-for-one with fields in your form?  Are your columns in the form library all based on newly-created columns from the form's property promotion during the publishing process.  Or are you combining both?  Either way, the re-publish should not change anything.

When you republish the form do the following steps.

1. After publishing the form, go to the library.

2. Click on relink documents which is in the view drop down (upper right corner side).

3. Now you will see a check box with the name relink. Check that check box and click relink.

I relink, but that doesnt prevent the columns from being stripped out of my views, forcing me to rebuild the views.

All columns are new from the forms property promotion.

Can you follow the below steps to fix this issue.

1. Take the backup for your “template.xsn” file from published location. (build which is already there in  the SharePoint)
2. Open template in design mode and extract files.
3. Open manifest.xsf in editor mode.
4. Search for the keyword "listPropertiesExtension".
5. Copy the complete node for "listPropertiesExtension".
6. Open the new manifest.xsf in editor mode
7. And replace “listPropertiesExtension” node with old listPropertiesExtension node(Which is copied in step 5).
8. Saved new manifest.xsf and close.
9. Open manifest in design mode and publish to SharePoint.

Attach the XSN if you'd like me to troubleshoot it.

I dont seem to have a way to attach a file in this forum.

Click "Reply" (not Quick Reply), then select the Options tab for attaching a file.

Apologies for intruding but I am having the same problem and thought I might add some observations of my own that may help identify problem. 

In my case, I'm publishing minor updates to MOSS and mixing columns from my template with columns from sharepoint. As with Michael65, I lose all column Views and the column info

When I select 'Edit Properties' or Open the form or 'edit in browser' options for each document, all column info is restored. This has to be done with every document though.

You can restore your data for all documents at once by relinking them. In my case where I have calculated columns they get blow out as well as any column that is promoted that is being used in a view is erased from that view, not just the data, but the entire column.

I am having the exact same issue.  When I publish my InfoPath document, it's wiping out the sharepoint views for the library.  It's very very frustrating.  Does anyone have a work around for this?  I can't keep restoring a template because I risk losing data each time I have to do it.  HELP!!
