Access denied error when open infopath forms in IE under windows vista

My Infopath forms (5 in total) are working fine using IE under windows xp but did not work using IE under windows vista. The Error is about Access denied trying to launch web service methods (See pictures below).  I can't seem to get any clues with event viewer. Can someone please help.

A security error I suppose, as Vista is not allowing that data connection.  Have you checked the security settings of your browser settings?  I use both Vista (on multiple machines) plus XP to interact with my browser-enabled forms.  The only connection that doesn't work for me is the UserProfileService, but that's because it tries to send my windows credentials, and my machines are not on the network, so it sends an invalid username.  Everything else works fine.

    Hi warrtalon,

I have checked over and over again and can't seem to find anything wrong. Is there any thing specific that i should check for? I obtained the same error on 4 different vista's computers at work so there must be some thing specific. Please let me know.

PS. I got the rules working for all my pages thanks to you. Right now, the form is saved, email notification is sent and form is closed with 1 button click.

DVN, I'm not sure on this one as I have not experienced it.  Can you make a simple test form with one of the failing data connections and see if that also fails for those users?  Can you see if those users can open it on a non-Vista machine?  Do you have any errors in the event logs or in the 12 hive logs related to InfoPath?

As for the rules stuff you figured out, I'm glad to have helped.  Do you mind going back to that thread and updating it with your final solution so that others can learn from it and so that we (those who helped) can see what you ended up doing?  It is as helpful to us for you to explain your final solution as it is for us to help you get there, because that helps us understand what information and what explanations help the most.  I'm most curious as to whether you utilized my blog entries directly, if the blog entries helped you understand what you need to do in a different way, or if you just figured it out completely with a different method.  Any feedback would be helpful to the forum and to me personally.  Thanks!

These forms worked under windows xp machines.

I event made the internet security settings identical between windows xp (my machine) and windows vista machine and i am still getting those error2. 12 hive logs gave no mentioned of errors of any kind. Event viewer has no infopath errors as well. I am running againt the wall here. Can't figured it out.

I will try to post my implementation when i have some free time since it is going to lengthy.

Does a form have to be in Full Trust mode? All my form are currently in Domain Trust mode.

Can't seem to get it to work in window vista at all? Does the form has to be in full-trust mode for it to work under windows vista? would domain-trust work in windows vista?

Anyone with a better suggestion for me to troubleshoot the issue, please help. I am runnig out of time and thing to try

It was the operator error. I have developed and host the webservice using my local computer and accessing the webservice using this url http://localhost/webservice.asmx and then i moved the web service a production server when the forms are hosted in sharepoint server but forgot to change the url to refelct the name of the production server like this: http://production_server/webservice.asmx. The funny thing is, it worked fine with IE in windows xp. Somehow windows xp did not catch this problem. It is all good right now.
