I have 2 buttons to Query - Same rules but not working

I have 2 buttons, only for Users as it won't look confusing....   My problem is:  The lookup button is set up in rules to query and its sets a Hidden Textbox to 1.    When query has returned results, a value is selected and sent to a textboxA by using a select button. The Select button will reset the hidden box back to 0 after the rules has processed. Works great no problem.  Now the second lookup button, has same exact rule process but for Textbox B but it will not query again.  Why is that?  I am not a programmer, and I am hoping this is not something i have to code in as I am clueless.

    Hi,

If you have same ID's for both the buttons then, change them and try again.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response.  The ID numbers are different.

You will need to give a little more detail, because you said you have 2 buttons, but then you described 3 buttons (Lookup1, Select, Lookup2).  Did you just describe the 2nd button as both select and lookup, or are there 3 buttons?  What EXACTLY is the form doing, what kind of controls are you using, does this include a repeating table of any sort, and what is the exact logic?  If you can attach your XSN, I could troubleshoot it directly.

The 2 buttons have the same type of rules with different ID numbers. It's there for convience and for looks.  It has same rules. LKup 1 sets a value to Txtbx A and Lkup2 sets a value to txtbxB.  The select box is in a repeating table, using current() to help set to the txtbox correctly.  works fine.  The lookup1 has a rule to query from sql, then the select button is used to set a value to txtboxA which is in a master/detail list.  When that value is selected, it hides the query table.  sometimes they do not have to use the lkup 1 or 2 so that why it hides to make the form look clean, but if they need to use the look up 2, it will not query anymore.  Sometimes they need to use one or other or both.

ok, sorry for your waste of time, this was major user error on my part.  Sometimes working on a form for so long can get your locked up and can't think anymore.  Its been resolved.  Thank you.
