conditionally hide columns in a table

I'm a newbie to infopath. I need to conditionally hide columns in a table. I'm using infopath 2007. I use vsto form code to do the changes. In another post of this forum, i got to know that we can either place sections side by side or use xslt. I cannot place the sections side by side. The next section that I place, comes as a block element on new line[even in 2007]. Can you provide a step by step approach to doing this? Also, if there is some sample xsl[for conditional hiding columns] which you can provide, will be of great help!
    Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I think the only way to accomplish this is to hack the XSL to make those sections not be block elements. I'm not sure if it will round-trip reliably in the designer. We don't like to hack up the XSL as it's very unpredictable.

    Hi soshan,

Since you are using InfoPath 2007 you should be able to do this with the horizontal repeating section.  You should be able to make any table size imaginable my combining this control with the regular repeating section.  Just put the regular repeating section inside the horizontal one, or vice-versa, and apply conditional formatting.  It shouldn't be too difficult.

    Good luck!
