Formula to override cannot be blank in date picker field

    Hello all,

I have this web enabled InfoPath form where participants need to select if their training is 1.  In Progress or 2.  Completed.

I have a Date Picker field so they can enter in when they completed their training.

I currently have it set up where the fields cannot be blank.  Is there a formula to override the cannot be blank?

If participants  choose in progress, the date picker field is hidden.

I know that there is no If Then statement in InfoPath but perhaps I can set up a rule or formula?

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

Use data validations instead of cannot be blank.

    Hi

Remove 'Cannot be blank' option for DatePicker and add Data validation on Date Picker.

    Hi,

You need to add below conditions to your fields and also verify attached xsn for better idea.

    1.       Add your Conditional Formatting to the section (Date field is added under the section) to hide date field when field1 != to "Completed"

    2.       Add your data validation to the Date field when Field1 = "Completed" and Field2 is bank.

Field1 --à radio buttons for In Progress or 2.  Completed

    Field2 à date field
