SQL date format error when submitting form

Hi there, I hope you guys can help with this issue because it is driving me round the bend :(

I've constructed a simple form template in Infopath and can submit all fields to my SQL 2005 database apart from date fields. No matter what date/time characteristic I try at either side, I simply get invalid data type errors on submission. All I have to do is allow the form users to select 3 date fields on the form and getting the data format matched is proving hard. Could this be something as simple as a locale setting resulting in the incorrect format?

Thanks for reading this and giving it some thought!

    Ian ;)

I have discovered the root of the error. My closing remark regarding languae or regional settings has proven to the cause.

SQL 2005 Std defaults to US-English language on a system with a English-UK locale. It's a doddle to resolve and the SQL code is all over the web.
