I apologize for resurfacing this topic, but according to the two or three threads I've found here, there was never a clear answer given on how this could be accomplished. This project involves "time phased" information, in that, they want to be able to track how many widgets were assigned to the master record today vs tomorrow.
So does anyone have any custom code or examples on how you can have your submit button "submit as a new record" rather than update the existing record you just brought up? I know one could say, just re-key in the information and submit as new that way, but there is alot of rekeying that would have to be done each time which would = this project not being adopted.
A webservice was mentioned in a prior post, and that would be fine, if i understood the first thing about setting one up :(
