I have my form setup to send an email when the form is completed.  This is the error I receive: 

 There has been an error while processing the form.

I setup one rule, in Submit Options.  It first changes the view to my Email View and the next step submits, using a data connection, to send the email.

I have removed all my data connections and setup them up again, but there was no change.

Are you certain that the recipient of the email has the proper syntax?  If it's even slightly off from the exact email address, you will get that error.

Did you ever reslove this. The form works with submit to file but not when I swith to Email. Is there any setting I am missing?

If you are running rich windows client (InfoPath on local machine) you will need to have Outlook installed on that machine too.

If you are running browser form, you'll need to setup the e-mail connection in SharePoint. There should be a thread with some instructions on that. Look around. It's also documented in Hagen Gree and Scott Roberts book on IPFS.

This is with Sharepoint. The form works fine if set to use a sp library as the data connection. it is the email send option that is making it fail.  I looked around and did the following as for the email config.

Through the IIS nged the SMTP email settings of the site use a remoter server (our email server).  I know there is somethign else that I am missing like configuring the SMTP server or not changing the outlook option that it might be looking. I am not sure how to get the detailed error.
