Printing Contact selector control in InfoPath

    Hi,

We are using InfoPath 2007 Browser enabled forms in SharePoint server. In this template we have several Contact selector controls as per our requirment. But, the problem is when our users trying to print those files, it is not printing this control on the paper. It is loading just blank at that place. I tried exporting it into pdf by adding the add-in...but no luck. Even, in pdf file also it is loading blanks at the place of contact slector control.

Help in this regard is greatly appreciable.

No, they are not showing up in the print preview also. It is acting differently on different machines. On some, when we click on print preview, infopath is closing by itself giving the message "An error has occurred and infopath needs to be closed...do you want to send it to Microsoft?........." what could be the reason?

Same issue here.  We are using the client application and not browser enabling.   Doesnt work in the print or print preview.

     Print preview crashes the form.

I had the same problem today with a form. It *appears* that using a people picker in InfoPath 2007 that was designed by InfoPath 2010 caused our problem. The solution is annoying, but it doesn't take too long. Copy all the items in your primary view and make a new view called "Print View". Paste them in. You could feasibly create one separate "print view" for each regular view (or any view with a people picker). Now replace the people picker on the form with a 1 row, 1 column repeating table. Tie the data field from the people picker to the data field for the repeating table (set its default value to the "DisplayName" from the people picker). The repeating table will expand to house all the selected names and can be printed successfully. It can be used as a "printable" version of the people picker. Go into the properties of your view (I am using 2010) and click on the "Print Settings" tab. You can then designate a view to use while printing. Do this for any view that contains a people picker. Assign a "printable" view and you will be good to go.
