Get User Profile through MOSS Web Services

Hi, I'm trying to complete this demonstration posted on the InfoPath Team Blog:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2007/03/07/get-the-user-profile-through-moss-web-services.aspx

I'm having problems on where to insert the code. (Newbie to VSTA as well). Where is the FormEvents_loading handler code listed? After I paste the code snippet, I get a lot of errors in the form.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    Hi Brian,

Could you send the actual error messages you are getting? You might be looking for the very first step "From the Main Toolbar, select Tools | Programming | Loading Event", but that would seem to obvious. These blog posts are usually pretty well written so if you follow all instructions you should be able to get it to work.

Another idea is that you might be trying to use C# (as given in the example) where the computer is trying to compile as VB or maybe even script.

Anyway, please reply back with the error message if you are still having trouble.

    Matt,

I'm getting about 40 errors (one for each line of new code that I have inserted).

The code looks like C#, but the form opens as "FormCode.vb"

Where can I change the default language for the form code?

    Thanks,
    Brian

I found where to change the code preference:

To change the form template code language to C#

    1. On the Tools menu, click Form Options.
    2. In the Category list, click Programming.
    3. Under Programming Language, change the value in the Form template code language drop-down list from Visual Basic to C#.
    4. Click OK.

That fixed the problem. Built the project and previewed the form and was good to go.

    Thanks Matt.

(Now to brush up on my C# and VB programming skills)
