Body not displayed in when sending email from infopath form in sharepoint

     Hi,

I have created an email data connection in IP 2007. The email is send to users to users when the user hits submit in the IP form. Sometimes the receipient receives the email, but the body is missing or blank.

The receipient can only view the subject, From, To, Cc field values. This behaviour is only at times. May i know the reason.

Are you switching views before sending email? This will result in a blank email.

Did you set up the data connection to send the form as well?

    Hi,

Yes. I am switching views before sending the email.

I am using a email data connection in IP 2007, and the body content is a standard text. The issue here is that , the email is sent with body content to some users, but fails with others.

     Kindly suggest.

Are you sure it's not an issue with inconsistency on the end-user side?  I think you need to determine why it works sometimes but not others.  If you isolate that variable, then it will be easier to fix.  Without that variable, it's somewhat of a crapshoot with us (or with me at least).  Can you reproduce the failure?  Is it based on the form or who receives it?  Can you add yourself to the email function so that you can verify all tests?

    Hi,

When i fill the IP form in office 2003 the email works fine. I did the same with a system that has office 2007 and it did not send the content.

I guess i designed the form in 2003. But i publihsed it using 2007. Perhaps that is why it works only when form is filled in 2003 than in 2007.

Do you know any settings that i need to change in IP 2007(form options) so that i can view the body content.

    Thanks,

    Reuben.

Um, yeah, that would be a pretty big indication of major variable that is causing the problem.  I would strongly suggest not using a form in 2007 that you built in 2003.  You need to build it in 2007, and if it must be compatible with 2003, then select 2003 compatibility mode.

    Hi,

I was switching the view before sending the email. Now is that i am sending the email before switching the view and it works good.

However, the current form is sent in the email (content. not as an attachment) along with the standard body text . how to disable the current form be sent in the email. I want only my standard text which I have given in the introduction section of email data connection, to be sent as the body of the email.
