Creative use of filters to get default value

Hello everyone, Please I have an issue and will try to be as descriptive as possible. I have a repeating table with 5 columns(perspective, comment, score, adjustedscore) Perspective is a drop down list box that could be either of three options. What I'm trying to achieve is whenever a perspective is picked and scores are inputted,it should calculate the adjustedscore for each perspective based on some criteria including the values inputted as scores. So you can have each of the perspectives carrying different weights. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

    Hi,

Add the rules to prespective and scores to set the adjustedscore. So whenever the user enters the value in perspective/scores the adjusted score will be calculated according to your calculation.

Hi and thanks for the response. I added rules to perspective and /or scores. but the adjusted score remains blank. It doesn't get updated. don't know if i'm missing something

    Hi,

Can you give more details how you are adding the rules and the calculations.

    I click on the field and add rules and just include (concat(substring(((Score / count(Score)) * 0.4), 1, KpiItem[. = "FINANClAL PERSPECTIVE"] * string-length((Score / count(Score)) * 0.4)), substring(((Score / count(Score[KpiItem = "CUSTOMER PERSPECTIVE"])) * 0.2), 1, KpiItem[. = "CUSTOMER PERSPECTIVE"] * string-length((Score / count(Score[KpiItem = "CUSTOMER PERSPECTIVE"])) * 0.2)), substring(((Score / count(Score[KpiItem = "INTERNAL PROCESS"])) * 0.1), 1, KpiItem[. = "INTERNAL PROCESS"] * string-length((Score / count(Score[KpiItem = "INTERNAL PROCESS"])) * 0.4)))) this is what I added to perspective. i treid the same thing for scores but the adjusted score doesn't get updated

    Hi,

Is there any condition that to be satisfied to calculate this value?

    Once check that condition.

Once put this calculation in an expression box in UI and check whether it is working or not.

Thanks for the response. This actually works in an expression box. But I need to store this value, that's why i can't use an expression box. Is there any other way i can achieve this? basically, i'm just trying to assign different weights to each of the items under perspective in a repeating table. thanks
