How can I set the formatting of an InfoPath RichTextBox programatically?

I am setting the RichTextBox value through code behind like below.

APRemarks.SetValue(node.SelectSingleNode("/my:myFields/my:CommentsSection/my:txtComments", NamespaceManager).ToString())

When I try to enter multiline text, the richtext box formatting like font, paragraph breaks, <br>, style is not appearing during runtime.

Can anyone please help me to achieve this.

Even I tried with passing the text as XML Node to a Web Service and setting XML return type as datasource for RTB from Webservice (WS).

As the Data type of XPath, i.e. RTB.SetValue("XML Node returned by webservice") is string,  the XHTML tags returned by Webservice XML are also treated as string and appended to original text.
