Hello,

I would like to be able to add a field to Infopath form that will give me the ability to input a time. It is not necessarily the "current" time though. If I am updating my form with info from 7:00 AM yesterday morning, I would like to put that particular time in. Is there a control for that? If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

You can use following formula for a text box.

substring-after(now(), "T")

if you want to save that time only when that form is opened for the first time. then add rule to that field that

Condition is: When field is blank.

Rule: Field = substring-after(now(), "T")

Is there a way to create a field using a substring which displays time entered by a user but without a default time?
