    Submit to SharePoint MySite library

    Hi there,
This might be very basic but I haven't found anything on it on the net anywhere... I have created a timesheet web form in InfoPath that submits to a SharePoint document library that the users don't see. Is there a way to submit a copy of the same form into their individual MySites 'Personal Documents' library so they can keep track of their logged time?

    Hello

You can using permissions(login security) to prevent other users seeing the Infopath form submitted in the sharepoint form library.

I'm not submitting to just my MySite, this is for 700 users... I have a form in one library that everyone has access to on the portal site, but then it submits to another library on a site they don't have access to, but have contributor access to the library. I want the same form to also be submitted to their MySites so they get a copy so they see what they have submitted in the past.

    Hi Susanna,

I just don't think you will find SharePoint an easy solution to manage what you want to accomplish.

One of the reasons we have been developing our own solution (DBXL) is to address the shortcomings of SharePoint for situations similar to yours. I think you might find that submitting your form to a SQL DB is going to allow you much more control over the data. For example, in our DBXL solution, everyone submits the form to the same DB but you then can use SQL permissions to control access. Our DBXL web part can be configured to only show the documents that the user has access to. You can even set this up with a permissions model that would allow your form to specify who their manager is (using active directory) an then a manager could see timesheets of their direct reports etc.

There is a free trial version here:

Thanks guys for all your input, at least I know I haven't missed anything and gone completely mad! I'll see if I download the free trial or come up with something else. Thanks again for the support!
