I have an InfoPath 2003 being used as a query user interface for an Access 2003 dbase locate on a shared network drive. Some of my users are experiencing timeout when opening the form. Now I realize there are several records within the dbase and this in combination with network performance is probably what's causing this. At this point I cannot upscale to SQL, so things are what they are. I know there's a way to increase timeout with a query submit, but this is occuring when the users attempts to open the InfoPath 2003 form. The data source within the form is the full UCN path to the Access Dbase residing on the shared network folder, I am precluded from using DSN because the InfoPath form is using wildcard and that custom code requires you to connect directly to Access 2003 to use ADO. OK, so my question is...is there a way to increase timeout when the InfoPath form is initially opened remembering that I don't have ability to use web service...I wondering if there a setting or if code can accomplish this within the form itself? Alternately I was wornding is there was a way to index a query within Access 2003? If I could improve performance within Access 2003 that could also resolve the timeout, thanks.
