Samir Farid:
If you have access to the sharepoint logs, see if you can find more details about the error there. Otherwise what might also help is to save to form template to another file and publish the new file to the forms library.
Thank you for your help. I solved at least the last error
An error occurred accessing a data source
by looking at the error log, which was simply that I forgot to include the domain of the data source in the hosts file of c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.
The first error remains, though, and the entry in the log file connected to it does not make me wizer:
05/14/2009 10:32:09.56 w3wp.exe (0x0C50) 0x0A9C Forms Server Forms Services Runtime 0 Medium

Any suggestions as to what this may indicate?
It seems like I
have to administrator approve the form template through Central Administration in order for it to be browser enabled. This is a little sad, because then I can not use the functions like version control and publishing the form to Sharepoint Server directly from Infopath. I'm sure it must be a setting that I'm missing. Any clues to what setting it may be?
