    Any Difference Between Picture and Ink Picture Control?

    In Infopath 2003 SP2, can someone tell me why this base64 string renders OK in a picture control but not in an ink picture control?
    It's a 20px*20px GIF with a single black pixel in the center with all other pixels being white.

    R0lGODlhFAAUAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAQUAP8ALAAAAAAUABQAAAITjI+py+0Po5y02osB3rz7D4ZBAQA7

    My XML file is below.  Field 1 is an ink picture control and Field 2 is a picture control.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><?mso-infoPathSolution solutionVersion="1.0.0.3" productVersion="11.0.8034" PIVersion="1.0.0.0" href="file:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\btprocess\My%20Documents\S2InkPictureTest.xsn" name="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:infopath:S2InkPictureTest:-myXSD-2009-05-03T05-07-18" ?><?mso-application progid="InfoPath.Document"?><my:myFields xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:my="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/myXSD/2009-05-03T05:07:18" xmlns:xd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003" xml:lang="en-us">

    <my:field1 xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">R0lGODlhFAAUAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAQUAP8ALAAAAAAUABQAAAITjI+py+0Po5y02osB3rz7D4ZBAQA7</my:field1>

    <my:field2>R0lGODlhFAAUAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAQUAP8ALAAAAAAUABQAAAITjI+py+0Po5y02osB3rz7D4ZBAQA7</my:field2>

    </my:myFields>

    I've also tried field 1 as:
    <my:field1">R0lGODlhFAAUAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAQUAP8ALAAAAAAUABQAAAITjI+py+0Po5y02osB3rz7D4ZBAQA7</my:field1>

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Any Difference Between Picture and Ink Picture Control?

    What I've learned is that there is a difference and it is that the ink picture control contains pen state data.

    Without it being present in base64 encoded data, the inkpicture control won't render the image.

    I now have a way to include pen state data from my CF app and when placed back into Infopath, everything is OK.

    Hi

    I am also have same problem like yours.  I am trying to covert an image to 64bit encoding and add it to ink control.

    But i am not able to do it.  In your solution you have mentioned about pen state data.

     How do i find that data?  If you can send me a sample code that would be very helpful.

     Thanks

    Kumaran
