The way this is defined is through the Forms Server URL that you see when opening the browser form. Look at the end of the URL and notice the Source parameter that has a URL after it. This URL is what defines the return page after closing. When opening a form a SharePoint page, this source URL is defined by whatever URL you're currently on. So, whatever view you are in at the time is the view it returns you to within that library. If you manually change that URL to your site home page and hit enter, the form reloads like normal, but when you hit "close," it returns you to the home page. So, you see how you can define where users return IF you can define the Source URL in that Forms Server path. I do not know how to do this within the form itself - there may be a way with code - but I _am_ able to do this when sending email notifications via SharePoint Designer workflows. What I often do with my workflow-driven e-forms is that when I send the notification email to a user, I dynamically generate the browser URL for the form, and I set the Source URL in this hyperlink to be whatever I want. I never need to go to the home page of the site, but I could if I wanted to. You can do this same thing, but this is only if it's ok for your people to be linked to the form from email. It works great, because they get the email notification with a dynamic subject, dynamic to:/cc: recipients, and body text with a dynamic URL in the form hyperlinked beneath the dynamically-driven filename of the form.
