I have two sharepoint Lists

Sites(SiteName,Maxworkersallowed)

WorkersonSite(workers,Sitename as foriegnkey)

I have a browser enabled infopath form for assigning workers to the site.My requirement is to get the related Maxworkersallowed and workers from sharepoint lists to do some calculations when user selects the site from a dropdownlist while Maxworkersallowed will always be having a single value and workers may have 1 or null(when no workers assigned) value. what is the best way to implement this?

 but the problem is that I want to get the first value(if exists) slected by default in second drop down n do some calculations on it. how can I do that?

Hello Smith, 

Follow the below steps to set default value for dropdown box

1.Open Infopath in design mode
2.Open Datasource and right click on the dropdown field
3.Select 'Properties...'

Result: Field or Group Properties window will open
4.Under Default Value,enter the default value in the 'Value' text box
5.Click Ok
