Filtering or conditional formatting in Infopath

Okay everyone- I'm fairly new to Infopath and self taught...so please forgive me if this is a simple fix.

I have an infopath form created that will query information from an sql server.  My form is set up with a repeating section.  I would like to apply conditional formatting to this repeating section so that if a database field = a certain value, it will hide the entire repeating section.

I've tried everything I know how to do, but it still displays the repeating section.

    Is this possible?  Any suggestions?

    Hi

I tried the above scenario that you mentioned and it is working fine form me.

Check conditional formatting once.(if a database field = a certain value)a certain value that you enter in the thrid dropdown is a case sensitive.

Re: Filtering or conditional formatting in Infopath

    Hello!

I've walked through it several times and it still isn't working for me.

I've tried conditional formatting and filtering. I even tried to refer to the field that contains the "certain value" to shade the field red when it matched a criteria and it didn't work.  Maybe I need to investigate that field.  It isn't recognizing it in the way I think it should.

I should mention that inside this repeating section I have a repeating table.  The repeating table works fine with the filter option.

It's hard to guess what the trouble is based on that description.  Perhaps you could attatch a "minimal" version of your form to this thread so one of us can have a look at it and figure out why it isn't working?

Actually....I think I just figured it out.

I changed my conditional formatting criteria to "contains" instead of "equals"...and it worked.  Going to keep testing to make sure I found a real solution.

    Thank you!
