    How to give a value to a field based on the value of another field

    Hi,

    This has probably been asked before, but I could not find anything related to this question in the forums. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    This is my dilemma:

    If the value in field A is greater than or equal to five, field B should equal 1. If field A is not greater than or equal to 5, field B should equal 0. Field B will be read only.

    Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Open up fieldB's properties, click the fx icon to set its default value, and enter the following formula

    number(fieldA >= 5)

    using the Insert Field or Group... button to insert fieldA in the right spot in the formula, and you're all set.
