Preventing schema entry for section controls

Hi, I would like to have a section control with some text only (no other controls), and hide/show the section based on the value of a checkbox. I got this working by setting conditional formatting on the group control, but a "group" element gets added to my schema and shows up in the XML when I save the form. I tried removing the binding between the control and group element, but then conditional formatting stops working. Is there some other way to achieve this - create a section that I can show/hide programmatically but not have a corresponding element in the schema? Thank you...

A section control can be bound to almost anything, so if it's not inside any other sections you could even bind it to the myFields node at the top of your data source.  If it is inside another section, you can bind it to the same node as the containing section.

One other option for showing/hiding text is to put the text in an expression box and place the conditional formatting on that.

I tried both suggestions and they work great. Thank you!
