Hi,

Initially I checked the cannot be blank for a field, but later I unchecked it. But still it's asking me to fill it mandatorily.

I have cleared the cache in \Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\InfoPath\FormCache2. Also I have closed all the instances of infopath.

Any idea?

Can you verify that, did you added any Data validations to that field.

 Yes it's having data validation, but I have set it on the condition that if the filed is present( am I right that, when a field is invisible, then it is not present?).

Hi,

"Is present" will not work in your senario. You need to add the validation same as your conditional formatting to hide that field.

For ex: If you are hiding that field when "Field1 is equal to false". then you need to add the validation as "Field1 is equal to true" then add your validatio message.
