Hi, Michael -- I followed up in our other thread on this, but the short answer is 'no' -- at least not with rules, since it turns out 'Switch Views' isn't available as a rule action. You could add code to do this, of course, but if all you need it is to also store the current view in a field, you can add an action to your ruleset on your button to set the value of that field. So your button would have two actions -- one to set the field to the name of the view (which you would type in as text in the action to set the field's value) and one to switch the view....
