Hi everyone,

I'm about to do some programming on Microsoft Infopath. I was wondering how can we get a value from a column in Shared Point Library. I have been googling for few hours but could not find anything useful.

Hi aruna, i have checked that link, but this is different scenario.

Okay, basically in my SharedPoint Library template, I have specified different Columns. I think most of you know what columns are, they are basically storage in sharedpoint library.

So say I have a column named ProjectDeadline, and I would like to write a script in InfoPath that has to compare a value of user input with the date stored in ProjectDeadline column. How can I get the value of the column. I was assuming there is a method like :

var ProjectDeadline = Template.GetSharedPointColumn('ProjectDeadline')

so that I can do any processing in my infopath script.

Does anyone have any suggestion for this?

btw, i'm using jscript.

hmm... i'm up to this point:

var oDom = XDocument.GetDOM("My Document Library");
oDom.setProperty("SelectionNamespaces", "xmlns:dfs='http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/dataFormSolution'");
var test = oDom.selectSingleNode("//dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/dfs:My_Document_Library/@My_Field")

howeever, still doesnt look good :(
