The InfoPath 2007 Designer has a File->Import feature that supports Word Documents. Have you looked at that? Or, are you trying to import a document into an XML? If the latter, you can bind the Word doc to an XML schema and use the File->Import Form Data from the InfoPath Editor. This will require defining an XSLT file and changing the manifest.xsf to allow merging the XML from your Word Document's schema. The InfoPath 2003 SDK has a good example of how to do this. We have some examples on our site too, but I recommend the SDK.

Thanks Patrick. I just used the InfoPath 2007 Designer has a File->Import feature. It works, but I had to replace the check boxes in word with brackets.
