I think you didn’t understand me about the attachment problem.
I want to design a news SharePoint site and create an InfoPath form to submit the incoming news in a form library.
The reason that I want to use InfoPath is because all of the persons who fill in the form do not access the SharePoint server but we can update later the library if the InfoPath form is sent to us.
1. This news form must have an attachment and a picture field but the first problem we faced is that the attachment and picture control format or type in InfoPath is not supported in SharePoint. I mean the base64 format. And when I want to define these controls in a content type, it gives me an error.
2. The first time I asked this question in the forum, you told me that if I have MOSS2007 there is no problem with attachment. I have MOSS2007 but I have this problem. Maybe you didn’t understand me well or I didn’t give sufficient information. Can you explain more?
3. When I studied more the forums threads I realized that you have created a package which we can attach picture or attachments in InfoPath with and I downloaded it. But when I want to view your template preview mode it gives me an error. Should I install specific software like asp.net or …? My next question is should I only use your template or can I use another customized template? Where are the attachments saved after that? Can we later give the attachment field to a data view to see them?
4. After these explications, if you have a better plan for a news site can you give your advices or your suggestions?
5. My next question is what is the difference between to submit and save an InfoPath form in a library?
6. How can I create a workflow with an InfoPath form in a form library? For example for the first time the library manager must approve a submitted form. After that, the form is edited and the library director has to approve for the second time, the edited form and has to distinguish between the first submitted forms and the edited forms. And after the second approbation the news form is ready to be published on the news site.
7. Excuse me if I have lot of questions but it is my first time I work whit InfoPath form and I don’t know much about it and I’ll very happy if you can help me and I thank you in advance.
