Hi,
I am trying to achieve a Change History table kind of a thing with rules as I have no experience with coding in Infopath.
This table has 6 fields (Version, Date, Status, Type, Updater and Comments) and additionally 1 common field to the parent table that is used to hold the relationship.
The First three fields are being populated with rules (which are executed when a button is clicked). The last three are user typed (text box) / selected (drop down list).
Now, the problem I am facing is : The values that are being typed by the user are okay but the first 3 values that are set using rules are affecting (updating) all the previous entries in the repeating table.
Is there any way to achieve this using rules? Or is code behind an only choice? If code behind is my only choice, can you please help in the doing this? I have no experience with Infopath coding at all. And I am using Infopath 2003 with JScript and a SQL 2005 server at the backend.
If coding is an absolute necessity, if you could give me exactly the lines of code (for 1 field) that I will need to write in JScript and IP 2003, that would be fantastic!
