    Data Storage Question

I was just wondering if it were possible to just store the data entered into a form within the form without sending the info to a database.

Let#%92s say I wanted to use InfoPath form in a call center situation where I would open my template form, enter the data, and then save the form under a new name. Would I absolutely have send the data to a database server? Would I be able to just keep info in the form permanently?

    Hi Debodd and welcome.
The answer to your question is yes, you can store the infromation in the form itself as long as you open a new template each time and SAVE AS a new name each time. I am doing this now for several Infopath 2003 forms at the company I work for.

    Good Luck

Welcome to our forum DeBodd! Thanks Philip for the response. IT is correct. The easiest way to think about it is that IP forms are like documents (Word or Excel) with the same file saving/handling characteristics.
