When clicking, how do I disable/read only other controls

I've added a button to my form and want to disable other control when it is click and don't want to be able to submit the form until it's clicked. Also, do anyone knows how to disable the contact selector based on the button click as well. It's a hard control to disable. The only way I found to do this is through code. I want to stay away from code if I can.

    Hi,

You can disable the controls using conditional formatting. Add a Boolean field to the data source with default value False. Add a rule to the button as to set this Boolean field to true. Add the conditional formatting for the fields depending on this Boolean field. For contact selector control also you can add conditional formatting.

    1. In the data source taskpane, add a new field anywhere in the data source and call it submitted.  Specify its data type as True/False (boolean) and leave the default value as false.
    2. Right click the button you want to use and open its properties.  Click the Rules... button.
    3. Click Add...
    4. Click Add Action...
    5. Select Set a field's value from the dropdown menu.
    6. Click the button next to the Field field, and select your new submitted field.
    7. Click the fx button.
    8. Click Insert function and from the All category, select true.
    9. Click OK on all the open dialog boxes.
    10. Right-click the contact selector and choose Conditional formatting
    11. Click Add...
    12. From the first dropdown, choose Select a field or group and select the submitted field.
    13. From the third dropdown, choose TRUE.
    14. Check Disable this control

You can use steps 10-14 on any other control to disable it when the button is clicked.
