Can you Save a form with blank fields but not Submit?

Hello!  I'm new to Infopath/Sharepoint Workflows and trying to come up with the best way to accomplish this.

Basically what I want is a form with required fields.  However, I want to have 2 options:

    • Save will save the form, regardless if all fields are filled out.  This is for people who want to save as they go or save in Draft mode until they have all the info
    • Submit will submit the form as finished.

The trouble is, if I make fields required in infopath, they can't Save or Submit.  If I make fields non-required, it Saves, but obviously then it submits even if fields are blank. Is there any other way to do this?

I'm seeking code-free options to start because I don't have the rights to publish forms with code in them, but if the only solution you have is via code I'll see if I can be granted those rights.

    Thanks!!

You can leave your fields not required, but place conditional formatting on your submit button to only display if all fields are filled out. Let me know if you need a step-by-step.

Thanks for the tip. Actually that was one thing I tried I just didn't know if that was a realistic way of doing it since my test form only has like 3 fields and my real form is going to have like 50.

Do you guys also answer questions about sharepoint related to infopath?  If so I have another question but I'll have to write out the steps I'm trying to take so before I type it all up I wanted to make sure.

    Thanks!
