    Error while adding multiple rows in repeating table.

    Hi,

     I am using Infopath 2007. I am calling webservice and populate repeating table (C# code). It works perfectly fine when i have ~100 records. But when there are more records (~700),  application throws following exception:

    System.Runtime.InteropServices.SEHException
    External component has thrown an exception.

    Hello Welcome to the Forums,

    Can you check your inserted new node is structure same as in template.xml file. You are inserting node position also should be same as template.xml otherwise it will give error message.

    Re: Error while adding multiple rows in repeating table.

    Shiva,

    Thanks for your reply. I was getting error because i am inserting many records in repeating table. I tried to enter different no. of records and monitored response time. Here is the results:

    For 500 records, Response time = 3 minutes.
    For 600 records, Response time = 4 minutes.
    For 700 records, Response time = 5' 50" minutes.

    It seems this response time is really slow as compare to ASP.NET web application. Here is my code for inserting new row/record in repeating table.

    foreach (XPathNavigator singleItem in RepeatingTableItems)
    {
           XPathNavigator newRow = myRepeatingTable.Clone();
           newRow.InsertBefore(myRepeatingTable);
           firstName.SetValue("FirstName");
           lastName.SetValue("LastName");
           address.SetValue("Address");
    }

    Is this normal response time in infopath form when you insert >500 records ? OR Is there any solution to insert rows/records with fast response time ?

    Thanks in advance.
