InfoPath Dev

Hello,

Currently, I have a form with a secondary data connection to a SQL view. That view is currently set up so that it pulls all records in a table. The problem is that the table has over 50K rows and I currently have the connection set up in InfoPath with the option to "Automatically Retrieve Info..when form opens.." option check on. It works, but I know that this is not the best way to do this.  Ideally, I would want the form to only retrieve the values for the record the user is looking for when the user enters a unique ID via the form interface. 

What options do I have to do this without having the "Automatically Retrieve.." option checked on?

My form is using jscript in IP 2003.  Are there still options?

Thank you Jimmy.  I will give it a try.

Also, just to confirm...there isn't any way to retrieve only what you need from a sql table in IP without using code, correct?
