Hi all

 Using infopath 2003 (no option to use 2007)

I have a form in a repeating table that shows the appropriate record that is selected via a filter. Now within this form I have embedded a listbox that is populated from a secondary data source. This listbox contains a list of names, when a name is selected and someone clicks the "select name" button a rule updates a field within the main data connection.

 My problem is that this button is updating ALL of the records and not just the current record shown.

 How do I get a listbox populated by a secondary data source to update the current record?

I think you are going to manually need to add a filter to the target field for your rule. Please see this post by Jimmy and post back if you need further explanation.

 Actually I had to remove the secondary data source stuff out of its "section" and simply place it in the repeating section.

 Though the controls now show the blue "!", it now works and only updates the record current being viewed.

 I was using a section within a repeating section so that I could conditionally remove 5 controls without having to do a conditionalo for each.

Any how, it works now.
