Repeating Section Checkbox Does Not Work

    Hello,
I created a repeting section from a secondary data source with text boxes, date pickers, and checboxes. All fields are properly filled with the database data except for the check boxes which always stay unchecked. If I switch the control type to text box, I see zeroes and ones (for false/true, unchecked/checked). Is there a way to make check on/off a texbox based on the value of the datasource field? Whant am I missing here?

To make the check box checked/unchecked you need to modify the checked and cleared values for that check box from "true and false" to "1 and 0" in xsl file.

    Thanks for the reply Mahitha.
I am using a webservice as secondary datasource rather than an XML file. I tried changing the values from 0/1 to FALSE/TRUE to match the default settings of the control, but it still does not work.

Re: Repeating Section Checkbox Does Not Work

Hi bbzz24, and welcome to the forum!

The problem here is not with the data, but with the XSL that is displaying the data. I though that if you righ-click and drag the field that you want to display as a checkbox and then select it from the list, it should work correctly. However, if this doesn't work you can manually edit the XSL of the view to make it show correctly. You will need to extract the form files, open the XSL in a text editor, and then make the appropriate edits. This is kind of involved so if the first technique (right-click and drag) doesn't work, then let us know and we can hook you up with a code snippet.

Without code, you can copy the xpath from the selected group node, and add that to the value of the field you want to populate.....

Right click over your disired group node, and select copy xpath.

In the properties section of the form control select the function button, add your xpath (/my:myFields/my:group55/my:group56) then select verify formula.

You should be able to see multiple values when you preview the form.
