    Send mail without the form

    Hello,

     I want to send mail to alert some people when an action is done by a user.

    But I don't want to send the form in the object of the mail because they don't have to see some informations...

    Is there a way to send a mail with a link and a message in the body, but no form??

     I'm working in Jscript.

    Thank you a lot

    Xavier

    Hi

    Try this,

    function Email(dataAdapterName, to, CC, subject, intro, attachmentFileName)
    {
        try
        {
      var objEmailAdapter;
      objEmailAdapter = XDocument.DataAdapters(dataAdapterName);
            objEmailAdapter.To = to;
            objEmailAdapter.CC = CC;
            objEmailAdapter.Subject = subject;
            objEmailAdapter.Intro = intro;
            objEmailAdapter.AttachmentFileName = attachmentFileName + ".xml";
            objEmailAdapter.Submit();
            return true;
        }
        catch(exception)
        {
            return false;
        }
    }

    I've tried this with the AttachmentFileName empty, but it doesn't work.

    I don't want the form in the mail and I don't want it in attachment....

    I juste want to send a simple mail, without form, juste a message

    I don't think it's possible :(

    But thank for your help!!

    Wonderful!

    I've found the solution here : http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/3446/12614.aspx#12614

    It's exactly what I was search for!

    And with this solution, I don't have mail notification.

    Hi,

    Are you getting any error? Don't write any attachment file name. Try the following code.

    function Email(dataAdapterName, to, CC, subject, intro)
    {
        try
        {
            var objEmailAdapter;
            objEmailAdapter = XDocument.DataAdapters(dataAdapterName);
            objEmailAdapter.To = to;
            objEmailAdapter.CC = CC;
            objEmailAdapter.Subject = subject;
            objEmailAdapter.Intro = intro;

            objEmailAdapter.Submit();
            return true;
        }
        catch(exception)
        {
            return false;
        }
    }

    You'll have an attachment if you do like that

     As I don't want any form (in the mail or as attachment), the solution I've found is the good one.
