Add extra fields in Print view for a Form with external DB

I find that if I am testing functions as has been suggested,
In a Form without an external DB,I can quite easily add the new controls and new fields, and test the controls.

But, it seems impossible to add them when I have an external Database connected.

Any clues where I am going wrong?

    Hi

When form is created using Database then you cannot add the fields to the query fields and data field group in the data source. You can add the field to the myFields group.

Hi,If you are using the data base fields as the main connection then you cannot add the fields in the form. If you want to add any fields then you need to add that fields in the data source xsd file. Note: Take a back up of the form while doing these changes.Another way is place the expression boxes and put the values you want in those and print that.
