    Option Fields

    Hello all,
OK so here is my issue. I am trying to create form to use for a Shift Turnover process for production support. My form will have a repeating section for issues, somewhat similar to the agenda form that comes with Infopath... however it is for issues.

What I am looking to do is have a dropdown menu where I can select an application or multiple application. I am fine on everything up to the multilpe application part. What I need to happen is... lets say I choose 3 applications for this issue, The root cause, resolution, and few other fields will contain the same data. however, the customer impact will be differnt for each of the 3 application selected. is there was to create an optional, Customer Impact field for the number of applications selected for that issue.

I hope that makes sense... I know it does in my head...

Hi SnyderJD and welcome to our forum!
Sounds like you want to use a repeating group for the application part. You can embed a repeating section inside a repeating table. For each of these applications, you can have a separate "customer impact" field that depends on the application selected. So, I don't think you want to use the multiple selection feature in InfoPath 2007, but you do want a data source with a repeating group inside of a repeating group. Good luck!

    Patrick,
Thanks for the respons. Will this cynamilcy create the number of "customer impact" fields fo the number of applications selected? I am still pretty new to infopath, any thoughts on technical how to tackle this. I think I understand what you mean... but a little fuzzy. Thanks again for the direction to go.
