InfoPath Dev

I am calling the UserProfileService when a form opens and for one of my users, incorrect info is being displayed. He is accessing our network through a VPN. The sharepoint site is showing his correct info at the top of the page, but the text box i am populating on the form with the user info is not correct. This is working fine for many other users.

Any ideas on what would cause this type of behavior or how to troubleshoot?

Did the user recently change their alias by chance?  This almost sounds like a caching issue of some kind.

Does the incorrect information that does populate give you a clue as to what might be going on?  If it is working correctly for everyone else I would suspect some sort of alias issue for that user.
